The video taught me the value of exploring one's social identity. It highlights the importance of accepting your background and understanding how it shapes our experiences and perspectives. I believe that social identity is important for everyone to discover within themselves because it contributes to society's diversity. In Queens, for example, there are many different people from various backgrounds, religions, and beliefs. Nonetheless, we manage to coexist and learn more about one another. Because no two people are the same, and because we all come from different backgrounds, it is critical that we all begin to become our true selves.

But of course, the great and wise Mr Stashin knew that I was 'Having a happy Thanksgiving depending on when I was watching this.'

I learned that Identity Foreclosure can come prematurely, noticably in many adults by parents who are very set in their ways. I also notice many open minded people usually had a previously foreclosed identity from a very restrictive upbringing, and them having broke out of it led them to being a more open minded individual when being exposed to the real world. Additionally I was able to connect the themes of critical conciousness, of understanding other people's backgrounds and being open to their opinions having an effect on your own beliefs and…

This video helped me understood the significance of identity within people. It explained that there are different parts of ourselves, like gender, religion, and race, that help us express our identity to others or even connect them. The video explains that our identity isn't set in stone and can change over time. For example, we can change our religion based on our thoughts and ideas.

It also discussed something called social justice, which is really important in our society. It's about trying to make things fair for everyone. The video talked about the ongoing debate between giving equality amongst ourselves and making sure everyone has what they need to succeed. It suggested that finding a balance between the…

Giorgio Sylvestre,

From the video I learned of the importance of exploring one’s social identity. It emphasizes the need to embrace your background and realizing that it shapes our experiences and perspectives. I think that social identity is important for everyone to find within themselves as it is a contribution to the diversity of society. For example in Queens, there are so many different people from different places backgrounds religion and beliefs. However we still find a way to coexist and learn more about each other. Not everyone is the same and just like social identity describes it we come from different backgrounds, so it is important that we all start becoming our true self

What I learned from this video is what social identity is and from what I learned, social identity is a part of our self concept. It's a sense of where we belong with particular groups and how we relate to others whether it be nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender.. The list can go on and on because at the end of the day no matter how we are all alike in our ways, we are all different but that makes up who we are as individuals. I feel like social identity helps define who we are as people and helps shape our behaviors and attitudes towards other people.
