After watching the video, I learned about critical consciousness, social justice, and identity statuses. However, Identity 101 is not just a course, but a way of life that helps me appreciate diversity and sensitivity. After high school, I am sure I would face many changes, such as meeting people from different backgrounds and living independently. Identity statuses are categories that describe how people form their sense of self. Some people have foreclosure, which means they do not explore their options but accept what others tell them. As a teenager, I need guidance and support to find my own path. I also need discipline to set goals and improve myself. Critical consciousness is the ability to analyze, question, and…

Having an identity is one of the crucial parts to being a human. It’s one of the main ingredients to being your own person. Getting to understand your identity is like learning more about yourself. Your identity grows with you. The more you learn about yourself, the more you can apply it to your life and figure out what works for you. It kind of stores everything in a neat little box so that there’s no confusion and it can erase harmful stereotypes. Having critical consciousness can inspire things like social justice. The idea is to promote systemic change and reform that revolve around fairness and equality for everyone.

I picked up some knowledge on social justice, critical consciousness, and social identity in this workshop. Regarding social identity, it is regarded as a crucial aspect of an individual. For individuals, how they or others see them is what matters most. A person's gender, beliefs, skin tone, or any characteristic on their face can all influence how they perceive others. This has a big impact on the values of society.Additionally, you need to discover a deeper self-awareness and your overall genuine purpose. Additionally, I gained a better understanding of the distinction between equity and equality as well as social justice and its means of realization. This is related to social justice as well because it ensures that everyone…

In this workshop, I learned some concepts like social identity, critical consciousness and social justice. As for social identity, it is considered an important part of a person. Its main focus for individuals is how they perceive or how others perceive them. Any facial feature, skin tone, beliefs or gender are major factors of how people judge others. This plays a significant role in society's values. It is crucial to know this as it is a fundamental social skill. Social justice is fight or advocate for equality between each person regardless of their race, religion or beliefs. Ensures equal treatment for all, regardless of those aspects. Critical consciousness involves questioning current society and how it really operates. Encourages…

In this workshop (4) I learned about social identity. I learned that race, gender, and income all play a factor into how we are perceived in this world inevitably. This is where social justice ties in because everyone should be treated equally and approached with respect and the same value someone of a different or subjective "better" is. Additionally, another concept we covered and I learned about is critical consciousness. In short, critical consciousness is being able to understand and question the unfairness in today's society.
