I learned the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. People with a growth mindset believe that their abilities can be developed and improved over time, while those with a fixed mindset believe that their abilities are innate and cannot be changed. Regular self-evaluation ensures alignment with your aspirations and aids in adapting to changing circumstances. Lastly I learned about extrinsic motivations compared to intrinsic motivations. Extrinsic motivations involve external rewards or…

From this presentation, I learned what a growth mindset is compared to a fixed mindset. A fixed mindset is a mindset in which one believes their skills are still, they cannot improve. A growth mindset takes experiences and makes a person think what can they do to grow from it. A fixed mindset avoids challenges, gives up easily, sees effort as pointless, ignores constructive criticism, and feels threatened by the success of others. A growth mindset, on the other hand embraces said challenges, persists in the face of obstacles, sees effort as a path to mastery, accepts constructive criticism, and learns from the success of others. Fixed mindsets and growth mindsets are two polar opposites from one another.…
Flores Olmedo, Norma My Key takeaways from this presentation is the importance of self evaluation and growth. I learn the importance of your mind and how the way you think of things can affect your results at work. It’s important to have a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. A growth mindset is the ability to see failures as a growing opportunity rather than something that can hold you back, seeing challenges with a positive attitude, that new things would be fun to try and even if they don’t work out in the end then it’s okay. A fixed mindset is the thought that failures are just the limit of your abilities, that if you can’t do something then you’ll…
